Hotel Sector:

Course Certification Duration (regular) Duration (extension) Admission criteria (regular and extension)
Hotel Management Degree 3 years (6 terms) 4 years (7 terms) – Diploma/Level 4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism and COC certified with 2 years relevant experience and currently working in the sector, or

– Any degree and 2 years relevant experience in hotel and tourism sectors and currently working in the sector, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Hotel Management Level V  2 years (4 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism and COC certified, or

– Grade 12 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET agency announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Food and Beverage Control III Level III  1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or
– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET agency announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Food and Beverage Service Level III  1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Food and Beverage Service Supervision Level IV 2 years (4 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or
– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Food Preparation Level III 1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

 Housekeeping Level III 1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

 Front Office Level III 1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

 

Tourism Sector:

– Grade 10 or 12 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET agency announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Tour Operation Supervision Level IV 2 years (4 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 or 12 complete and has the entrance point as the TVET agency announces each year, and

– Other criteria as defined by the ministry of education

Tour Guide Level III 1½ years (3 terms) 2 years (4 terms) – Diploma/Level 3/4/5 in the fields of Hotel and Tourism, or

– Grade 10 completed and has the entrance point as the TVET agency announces each year, and

– Other criteria as per the ministry of education

 

 

 

Short-term training:

All short-term training is 3 months duration

Hotel management

Training: Criteria:
Food and Beverage Service Grade 10 or above
Food and Beverage Control Grade 10 or above
Front Office Operation Grade 10 or above
Food Preparation Grade 10 or above
Food and Beverage Service – Supervision Grade 10 or above with 1 year relevant experience
Front Office Supervision Grade 10 or above with 1 year relevant experience

Tourism

Training: Criteria:
Tour Guide Grade 10 or above
Tour Operation Supervision Grade 10 or above with 1 year relevant experience
Tourism Marketing Grade 10 or above with 1 year relevant experience
